Nothing beats fresh, sparkling white smile! Being a licensed (non-practicing) dentist, I have inculcated the importance of having a healthy set of teeth and gums to my 8 year old daughter and my “dentist-phobic” husband. I know I am such a nag when it comes to dental hygiene but I am just doing my “job”. After all, I’m still a dentist and I shouldn’t put my acquired knowledge in dentistry into waste just because I am now enjoying a new found career.
How do we keep decay-free teeth? It’s as simple as ABC. First and foremost, brush your teeth preferably after every meal especially before going to bed with a fluoride containing toothpaste like Tom's of Maine. Secondly, eat nutritious foods and avoid eating candies and chocolates (if you can’t help it, make sure you drink water, rinse your mouth and brush your teeth right after eating) and floss your teeth after brushing at least once a day (make sure you go through all the areas unreachable by your toothbrush like the tiny spaces in between your teeth). Lastly, visit your family dentist every six months for a dental prophylaxis (professional cleaning) and thorough oral examination.
A quality dental product also plays a very important role in maintaining good oral hygiene. Tom's Of Maine was introduced to me by a cousin living in USA. The first time I tried their Wicked Fresh!™ Toothpaste and Wicked Fresh!™ Mouthwash, I became a regular user. I am meticulous when it comes to dental products we use in our household; so far Tom’s of Maine products pass my standard. Tom's of Maine is a leading natural product's company focused on oral and personal care since 1970. I have joined them in facebook but you also have a choice of joining them in twitter if you use twitter more frequently. What are you waiting for? Join Tom's of Maine in facebook or twitter NOW and let’s all start aFRESH this 2011! Happy New Year, everyone!
