Labrador Nature Reserve

Do you remember our Christmas Staycation at City Beach Resort? I mentioned in that post that we have so much to explore around the area and one place that we looked forward to discover is the Labrador Nature Reserve.

We saw this warning sign when we arrived at the heart of the nature reserve however,

there were a number of families with children who didn't heed the warning at all.

Mond and Kyla played their favorite outdoor games to their heart's content as I happily snapped. We didn't do any extreme hiking as i was on my first trimester with Baby Gian then. We could have discovered more of the reserve's abundant flora and fauna but hubby's motto is "better safe than sorry". When they got tired, they sought rest with nature. It was by far the most solemn Christmas we've ever had and we all loved it. Spending time with nature is a great way to celebrate Jesus' birth. It gave us time to reflect and have the much needed quiet time away the hustle and bustle of life in the city.

Labrador Nature Reserve (Chinese: 拉柏多自然保护区), also locally known as Labrador Park (拉柏多公园), is located in the southern part of the main island of Singapore. It contains the only rocky sea-cliff on the mainland that is accessible to the public. Since 2002, 10 hectares of coastal secondary vegetation and its rocky shore have been gazetted as a nature reserve. ~ Wikipedia

  14. I was expecting a different Labrador - and was quite surprised to see the greenery and palm trees. Canada's Labrador and Newfoundland is not quite as lush!

Thank you for joining us in signs, signs.
