Marina Bay Sands Skating Rink

  • Perfectly Ordinary Day

2 June 2012
Mond and I declared Kyla's Day. We went to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands without Baby Gian (first time not bringing him along) for Kyla's FIRST skating experience! I was equally excited!

Not bad for a first timer, eh? Should I try it myself? LOL!

Looks super cool! Makes me wanna join Kyla in the rink.

The wonders of kids. They just met and they became best skating friends instantly.

They've fallen umpteenth times yet they never gave up.

It's just a matter of patience and practice.

New friends help a lot too!

See? She's slowly becoming a pro.

Though she claims her buttocks hurt after falling many times during the one hour skating experience, she's all smiles. I am reading her mind and I am 101% sure she is making a mental note to be a good girl always so that daddy and mommy will bring her to skate again... and again... and again...
POST-SKATING CONVERSATION:
Mommy: Look's like you had so much fun in there. What did you learn from today's skating experience?
Kyla: RESILIENCE! DON'T EVER GIVE UP!
I was expecting she will beat around the bush but she gave me a straightforward answer. It was another perfectly ordinary day for the family. Mond and I had a much needed one hour we-time at Kraze Burgers while Kyla enjoyed skating. We did miss Baby Gian but that is the bittersweet reality of parenting.
