It was a lovely Saturday afternoon when we decided to check out the newly opened water playground at Tampines 1.

The mall's punchline for the playground is BRING OUT THE PARTY ANIMAL IN YOU because the playground is wildlife-themed. Sounds inviting? Hmmmn, I'd prefer COME AND PARTY WITH THE ANIMALS. Haha! It's just me and my nonsense but if you think I made sense then we are at the same boat.

 The playground is perfect for toddlers. Kyla finds it too teeny-tiny for her.

Good thing there's a dry playground where she can slide and climb.

There's also a sitting area for parents while watching their kids play. It was actually covered with artificial bermuda grass but the rest of the greens you see in the surroundings are natural plants.

I love the tall plant (gotta research what plant is it) and the trellis in particular. I am a sucker for playgrounds surrounded by nature. I want my kids to grow up as nature lovers just like me.

The place can't match to the Singapore Zoo's huge Water Play area but the wildlife theme makes you feel like you are in a zoo belying the fact that you are actually in the mall.

If you have a toddler who can't sit still at home because of the hot weather, go ahead and bring them at Tampines 1. Don't forget the sun block, extra clothes and towel. The place was pretty clean when we visited, bytheway. I hope it will be kept clean and green. It is good to bring the kids NOT in their regular playgrounds when the time allows. When you surround them with greens, you let them learn how to care for mother nature.
