Even from its exterior, you can tell right away that the place is posh.

Our table setting. Behind is the famous silver cart. It is designed so that the beef could be carved at tableside. According to the Lawry's website, it is as expensive as a new Cadillac.

Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and Spinning Bowl Salad at Lawry's |
After being seated for a few minutes, we were served with bread and butter, salad and shrimp cocktail. Perfect way to start a delightful lunch. The famous original spinning bowl salad which was mixed on the tableside is made of crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce, watercress, shredded beets, chopped eggs and croutons, tossed with exclusive Lawry's vintage dressing on a bed of ice. I regret I didn't took a photo before it was mixed.

I had fruit punch as thirst quencher.

Mushroom Sizzler | Lawry's |
What came next is the mushroom sizzler along with whipped cream horseradish (and the other one I can't remember what it's called).

US Kurobuta Baby Back Ribs | Lawry's |
One of us don't eat beef so we had this pork baby back ribs served with fries and salad. Yuuuuuum!

Lawry's Cut Prime Roast Beef |
One of the highlight of our lunch is the Lawry's cut roast beef with Idaho mashed potato. It's to die for! Even better than the extraordinary tender Black Angus Steak I must admit.

Lawry's Crepe Suzette and Lawry's Mudpie |
We had two of Lawry's specialty desserts. This has got to be the highlight of our lunch. I tell you why later.
Let me talk about Lawry's mudpie first. It is a delicious dark combination of Haagen-Dazs vanilla, coffee and chocolate icecream on digestive biscuit, topped with hot fudge.

Lawry's Mudpie Dessert |
Lawry's Crepe Suzette has got to be featured on an exclusive blog entry. You'll regret if you don't click the link! We had so much fun watching the Chef prepare it on our tableside.

ReplyDeleteOh am gee...to die for dishes indeed! You are making it hard for me to diet haha miss yah too...
ReplyDeleteall yummy Che, well except the steak for me. Somehow, I just do not have a taste nor a stomach ( I get stomach sick each time I eat steak) for steak :( , sadly born with steak intolerance? if there is such a case. my favorite of course among these foods are the desserts, now, you are making me go to the freezer to make my own mudpie of haggen-dazz ice creams. ahh, and that banana dessert, it is something I believe I would like to have three plates, or four plates, and I would skip the meal, haha, so that I can indulge more in those desserts.
ReplyDeletenot bad coming from iphone. ^0^
ReplyDeletethe food's just making me drool literally!
and even when i'm having this bad sore throat.
i wouldn't mind tasting those delectable desserts esp. the hot fudge thingy.
now i know, why it's first class! ^0^
and i'm sure it's a 3star from Michelin.
So elegant, and the food so beautifully presented. My hubby would love that prime rib and I would be happy with the shrimp cocktail. ;-9
