When K was about to turn 7 years old, hubby and I decided last minute to throw her a birthday party. Our family prefers celebrating special occasions intimately but my mother-in-law convinced us to hold a party for our then unica hija because it is hubby's family tradition to make 7th birthdays extra special. Since both hubby and I are newbies when it comes to hosting a party, we booked a birthday party package at a McDonalds branch near our rented flat.

McDonalds provided the Happy Birthday banner. Hubby created lettering's and added the 7th and K's name. I need not think of any specific theme as McDonalds took care of the planning,

 I only bought additional Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh goodie bags at Toys R Us and filled them with kiddie treats. To add some zest to the party, I also bought colourful and fun masks for the kids.

In fact, the birthday party package includes door gifts for the invitees and prizes to win from games.The door gift came with a Mcdonald towel, stickers and a toy if I remember it right. The kids had double treat as I prepared additional goodie bags. They were extremely pleased and delighted.

The party was well prepared. I have to commend the two McDonalds trained staff who organized everything in a very short notice. Kyla loved her welcome party banner.

We let K decide whom to invite using the party invitation cards provided by McDonalds. She picked her closest friends from school along with their siblings. Most of them are Filipinos but she also invited her Malay, Indian and Chinese friends. There are 15 kids if I'm not mistaken, some of them came late.

The birthday package also includes McDonalds birthday cake. We only bought the no. 7 birthday candle. On the above photo, K was making a wish after we all sang a happy birthday song before blowing the candle.

Afterwhich, hubby and I helped K distribute the balloons and the kids had so much fun with them. The sight of them makes me want to be a child once again.

The kids got hungry so we asked the food to be served. Every child got to choose a happy meal of their choice. We ordered additional food for the adults who accompanied the kids. I can't remember anymore how much we spent but what's important is the happiness written all over my big girls' face.

McDonalds presented her with gifts. A burger stuff holder and McDonalds photo frame. She also won McDonalds stationary from a game and she got precious gifts from her friends.

We thanked and praised God for this memorable and fun-filled page in the book of our family life. We love you, dear princess! You will always be our precious baby girl.
