Chuen Kee Seafood Restaurant

According to Metropolasia, Chuen Kee Seafood Restaurant is one of Sai Kung's largest and most popular seafood restaurants.

The famous restaurant located at 53 Hoi Pong Street, Sai Kung seafront has 3 floors.

You get to select the freshest (mostly live) seafood from the tanks right at the entrance (ground floor) and the chef will cook it according to your preference and like mentioned at Metropolasia, the staff will be happy to advise you what delicacies can be prepared from the sea creature you choose.

2nd and 3rd level are where you can sit back, relax and indulge on great food. We were there around 8pm and it was already full house. If i'm not mistaken, my BIL reserved the table for us in advance as we were led  by the staff to 3rd floor when we arrived.

I was expecting an 8 course indulgence but oh boy, I was so wrong. My BIL ordered 12 (or maybe 14?) course including dessert. Sorry to disappoint you but I didn't get to take any photos of the food we ate as my hands are full with baby G. Metropolasia is right, the food is simply fantastic! Our tummies are soooo full by the time dessert was served. In fact, I skipped the last 3 sets of food. In random order, we had 3 variations of crab delicacies, roasted duck, abalone, steamed fish, steamed prawn, and so on and so forth (honestly couldn't remember all because there's just too much food).

Make sure to include Sai Kung on your must-visit place when you travel to Hong Kong and take note of Chuen Kee Seafood Restaurant which is a close rival of Tung Kee according to hiphongkong.com.

  11. I love sea food, and all those sounds yummy. it's good if there are a lot of you since you can have as many and share, but if there's only 2 or 3 people, i don't think they can finish 12 different servings :) good they have roast duck, at least, Khai will have something if in case we get to Hongkong, haha, dreaming! :)
