My precious little one's hair started to get into his nerves. For the past few days, he kept scratching his head and worst, there are times he pulls it really hard out of frustration. I told the hubby, it's about time he gets his first haircut so off we went to a kiddy salon last Saturday. (I will feature the salon in another post.)
After playing with toys, we set up Baby Einstein on iPad2 and played his favourite among the series. Hubby had to sit with him and we had to warm him up.
When he was a bit settled, the stylish put on the blue cape on him. He protested for a moment but proceeded on his viewing pleasure and forgot about it.
I am one proud mommy. Baby G is so well-behaved although he doesn't really like strangers. See how he throws a dagger look at the stylist when he started cutting his hair. LOL!
He was the last baby customer (we went after evening mass, made it before the salon closed) hence the whole family was able to play a role on baby G's milestone. I am obviously the one assigned to take photos, Ate Kyla played as the videographer,
my mom helped the stylish keep baby G's hair in a red packet, and daddy made sure baby G was comfortable and safe.
Ooopsie, he started crying when the stylish is doing the final touches because strands of hair fell on his face. I had to set aside the camera for a while to distract him with toys.
Here's the before and after photo. Looks like my baby boy suddenly grew a year older with his new hairdo but oh boy, he was even more handsome than before don't you think so? ;)
Now that the trauma of his first haircut is finished, I'll bet he feels much more comfortable. Great idea to have Daddy right there with him. :-)

ReplyDeleteCute kid! Sporting a great haircut as well.
ReplyDeleteI remember not liking the barber as a kid too much.
