World Food Day 2012

World Food Program has become very close to my heart since I joined Mom Bloggers for Social Good. Whenever I donate a small amount, they never fail to express how much they appreciate my little contribution. But what I love most about them is they keep me updated via email.

Whenever there's an organization or company that offers to match my donation, I donate straight away so that my donation will be doubled. Small contributions, as little as 1 dollar to 5 dollars, are considered big by WFP. They will tell you that your 1 dollar can feed 4 children and your 5 dollar will give a child a school meal for a month. How much more if your donation are being matched?

If there is one thing I am most grateful about is having a comfortable and healthy life here in Singapore. I always tell my daughter to be thankful for being able to eat 3 proper meals a day plus snacks in between as there are millions of hungry, malnourished people around the world.

In celebration of the World Food Day 2012, I am appealing everyone to donate even just a small amount to WFP. You will find WFP's donation box on my sidebar. Please allow me to quote Mother Theresa again, "If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one."

GOD BLESS YOUR GENEROUS HEARTS.
