I posted this photo on Instagram last night and shared it on FB with the following caption: "So I let the boy eat banana on his own. He mashed it and treated himself to a finger licking good banana facial."
Hahahahahaha, I had a good laugh! In fact before the "baby facial" incident, G and I had a great time laughing out loud while playing one of his favourite games "ouchy-ouch" (I must say ouch in an exaggerated manner when he smacks my face jokingly (sometimes seriously, a real ouch haha).
I was reminded by Glennon's post DO NOT CARPE DIEM. Last night, after a long day at work I was able to enjoy Kairos time with G and K. Kairos time as described by Glennon is God’s time. It’s time outside of time. It’s metaphysical time. Kairos is those magical moments in which time stands still.
Let me quote Glennon who never fails to fluently put my thoughts into words:
"These kairos moments leave as fast as they come- but I mark them. I say the word kairos in my head each time I leave chronos. And at the end of the day, I don’t remember exactly what my kairos moments were, but I remember I had them. And that makes the pain of the daily parenting climb worth it."
PS
Post title (the note itself) is also a borrowed phrase from Glennon of Momastery.com.
