Kid's Fun Day at The Grandstand 2nd stop: San Merinos

After the lego fun at Bricks 4 Kidz, our designated next stop was San Merinos which is just across Bricks 4 Kidz. San Merinos is literally a heaven for people who loves to craft finer things.

I am not so much into arts and craft but I instantaneously fell in love with the place. There are too many cute and useful stuff that are personally hand-crafted. Talk about labour of love.

At San Merinos, you can craft your own stylish hat, UV resin product, pretty scarves, felting cleaner, Punyu2 mascot, handmade bag/pen holder, handmade dolls and many more.

The craft assigned to the kids that day was needle-felting. They were provided with needle felting applique mold, pen style needle felting tool, needle felting mat, needle felting clothe and wool.

Step 1: Place the needle felting mat below the needle felting clothe.
Step 2: Place the needle felting applique mold on top of the needle felting clothe and mat.
Step 3: Insert a thin layer of wool roving into the mold and punch it with the needle felting tool.
Step 4: Repeat step 3 until you are done

My girl's finish product: A pretty and colourful butterfly with a yellow flower. She's so happy with her very first needle felting craft.

Workshop assigned to mommies is the UV resin craft. We were given a UV resin kit, liquid resin and a pin.

Step 1: Cut the paper from the UV resin kit glue it into the circle pendant. It serves as a back-drop.
Step 2: Cut the images from the UV resin kit
Step 3: Layer the images (each image has to topped with the liqiud resin and cured under the UV light)
Step 4: Add charms like beads and pearls on a liquid resin and cure (you can opt to add glitters)

Semi-finished product looked like this. My girl insisted on putting glitters and a bead.
