7 Cardinal Rules in Life

I found this on IG and I just have to share it and give my two cents:

  • Make PEACE with your PAST so it doesn't spoil your present. Your past does not define your future - your actions and beliefs do. Don't let your past haunt you. It's the PRESENT that really matters after all.
  • What others THINK of you is none of our business. It's how much you value yourself and how important your think you are. If you live to please the people around you, you've lost your freedom to be yourself.
  • Time HEALS almost everything, give time, time. Pain will be less hurting. Scars make us who we are; they explain our life and why we are the way we are. They challenge us and force us to be stronger. Getting hurt is part and parcel of life. They are meant to make us steadfast.
  • No one is the reason for your own HAPPINESS, except you yourself. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. In short: Be with someone that makes you happy.
  • Don't COMPARE your life with others, you have no idea what their journey is all about. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we would grab ours  back as fast as we could. In other words: If we think of the worst problems other people are facing, we would be so ashamed to call ours a problem because it is nothing compared to theirs.
  • Stop THINKING too much, it's alright not to know all the answers. Sometimes there is no answer, not going to have any answer, never has been an answer. That's the answer. Just accept it, move on, NEXT! Stop questioning yourself, what if?
  • SMILE, you don't own the problems in the world. A smile can brighten the darkest day. It is a potential curve to turn a life around and set everything straight. As Mother Theresa put it: Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.
Have a blessed and happy weekend!
