TV Feast Over the Long Weekend

Side Story

I may not have mentioned here on the blog yet but ever since we moved to our own flat early this year, we unsubscribed to Pinoy TV mainly to avoid language confusion to our fast growing little boy. We wish to teach him English first and introduce him Tagalog later on when we already established English as his basic language.

Our other selfish reasons are: 1) to stop K's alarming addiction to soap operas and 2) to prevent the nanny (who watches TV with G almost all day long) from being a couch potato. End result, so far so good. K is now watching Chinese shows with English subtitle to brush up her Chinese language and the nanny has learned to tune in to Korean drama which airs only at the end of the day when I am already there to take care of G.

Main Story

When I learned from @frannywanny's instagram post that Starhub opened all the 170 channels for free viewing pleasure over the long weekend, I immediately switched to The Filipino Channel (TFC) to catch up with KrisTV. Oh boy, how I missed watching a Filipino channel! It makes me feel closer to home but I had to sacrifice for the sake of my children.

The most I could do is to take the opportunity to enjoy the free viewing while it lasts. Over the long weekend, I caught a glimpse of popular shows like The Voice of the Philippines, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Please Be Careful with My Heart and The Buzz. All thanks to standsandmounts-peerless mounts, our mounted flat HDTV made my TV feast even more enjoyable.
