This is a super late post. I turned 35 years old last October but for the life of the busybee me, I failed to pen down how blessed I am when I celebrated my three decades and a half in this brutiful (brutal and beautiful) world.
I considered turning 35 a big milestone in my life. I have never been so blessed in my entire life the way I am now and amongst the many blessings I have, I am most grateful for my precious family. I am truly blessed to have a responsible, loving and caring husband, a bubbly and bright daughter and a happy and healthy son. They are all my dream come true.
I am also thankful for the gift of strong family ties. I may live miles away from my mom and my siblings but they never fail to make me feel so loved.
The fambam sang me a birthday song and I did the traditional blowing of birthday candles on my actual birthday.
My girl surprised me with the prettiest handmade card that she lovingly drew and wrote especially for me. Needless to say I was the happiest birthday girl on earth! I didn't hold any grand party but I had a few mini celebrations before and after my big day.
About a week before my birthday, I went to date myself at Paul Maison De Qualité at Tanglin Mall on a working weekday after lunch. I was craving for something sweet that day so I went to satisfy what my taste bud is longing for.
This was the pre-birthday treat for myself. I had sugar overload and drank a really sinful coffee but I felt so good after devouring everything. I firmly believe in the great benefits of dating oneself. I use my alone time to spend some undisturbed and quiet moments to reflect about the ups and downs of life and its lessons. I also use my alone time to pamper myself once in a while. Apart from the gastronomic indulgence, I either go for a shopping therapy or facial treatment.
The day before my birthday, the hubby treated me and the whole family with a simple yet satisfying feast at Kenny Rogers Restaurant.
Then superman and ladyboss treated me to a post-birthday lunch at Jade Palace. We had a generous spread of
Lastly, I hosted a belated birthday dinner for my university friends at New York Dessert Cafe. They surprised me with a cheesecake and asked me to make a wish and blow the candle.
Honestly, I am too blessed to be asking for more. Whenever I pray, my heart is filled with gratitude that I can only sing praises in my heart and all I could ask for is for my family to stay safe, healthy and happy.
Well then, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, Che!

that indeed is a very sinful coffee, but then, you deserve that yummy treat!!! Ahhh, love love sweets, though I very seldom have them these days, but when I think of treating myself, I always go for sweets. You have such a blessed life Che, it shows on your smile, in your words, and in the inspiration that you convey to us. More blessings your way.
