After the big rabbit almost fainted from all the cuteness overload at Hello Kitty Town, it's the little rabbit's turn to have some fun at The Little Big Club. We were all ready for another round of fun after re-charging our life batteries and filling our tummies at Lat's Place.
The Little Big Club features Thomas the Train, Pingu, Angelina Ballerina, Bob the Builder and Barney the Purple Dinosaur.
Join us as we explore The Little Big Club!
1st STOP: THE BARNEY SHOW
Upon entering The Little Big Club premises at the second level, there is an ongoing Barney show so we made it as our first stop. The little rabbit was enamoured by the purple dinosaur but he didn't dare go near him.
While the other kids had fun singing and dancing to the tune of Barney's famous song "I love you, You love me. We are one happy family.", the little rabbit opted to hug mommy rabbit.
2nd STOP: THOMAS THE TRAIN AT KNAPFORD STATION
After the Barney show, we went up to the 3rd level to ride Thomas the Train at Knapford Station.
I lost count on how many rides we've taken. The little rabbit loves train rides, be it the real ones we have back in Singapore or the theme park/mall trains.
This is the only photo we have that didn't turn out blurred while we were on board the train carriages. The train track is complete with a tunnel and other real train effects but I find the journey too short. I prefer the longer and outdoor train rides at Hong Kong Disneyland, Legoland and Vivo City. Even with the greenery murals, nothing beats the views of outdoors while on board the train.
3rd STOP: BERTIE THE BUS
When we came out of the Knapford Station, the little rabbit pointed to the red bus and said, "Mama, look. Red school bus." Haha!
Daddy rabbit didn't capture a single decent photo while our bus went up and down as he forgot to set the camera into burst mode. The little rabbit enjoyed so much because during the entire ride, I sang one of his favourite nursery rhyme that goes like this... "Going up up, up up! Going down down, down down!" whilst Bertie the Bus took us up and down.
4th STOP: HAROLD'S HELITOURS
There was a bump car ride next to Bertie the Bus but it was the helicopters that caught the little rabbit's attention. He loves anything with wheels and wings.
So off I went to buckle up my little pilot. The ever curious little rabbit looked really amazed with the little helicopters.
Of course the big rabbit had to experience how to be a pilot too. Can't you tell from that facial expression how she enjoyed the ride as much as the little rabbit did? They have to ride so many rounds to satiate their thirst in riding the little helicopters.
I felt dizzy after two rides so I had to let daddy rabbit accompany the little rabbit on the subsequent rides.
5th STOP: BUMPING BUFFERS STEAMIES AND DIESELS RIDE
This is one of the rides that the big rabbit really looked forward to. She had fun bumping her ride with daddy rabbit and other children of her age.
The little rabbit and I took a break at the Mc Bunn Cafe beside the Wellsworth Station while waiting for daddy rabbit and big rabbit. I ordered a burger, fries and a drink. No other healthy options. Good thing I brought along some healthy munchies for the little rabbit.
6th STOP: COLLIN'S CRANE DROP
Ironically, this turned out to be the big rabbit's most favourite. She went solo while we munched on snacks at the Mc Bunn Cafe.
This photo spells H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S.
She just couldn't get enough so she kept coming back for more.
7th STOP: WINDMILL
This ride is pretty boring but the kids loved it. One of the many things I do to make the kids happy is joining them in every little journey they wish to take. :D
8th STOP: ISLAND OF SODOR
We made a quick stop at the Island of Sodor before leaving the 3rd level. It is basically a resting area for parents and kids with stunning outdoor views.
We skipped the Sodor Playground located at the 3rd level because we were running out of time. We had to go back to the 2nd level and explore the rest of the place.
9th STOP: ANGELINA'S DANCE STUDIO
We missed the Angelina Ballerina show but the big rabbit had fun having the ballet stage all by herself. She had a quick ballet lesson with the ballerina mannequins.
10th STOP: BOB THE BUILDER
Can you tell from all the photos that this is where the little rabbit has the most fun? We had a hard time making him leave the place. I think we have a budding engineer in the rabbit family. :)
11th STOP: PINGU'S IGLOO
Pingu's Igloo is like a little arcade heaven. I love the idea of having a rest area for kids who are waiting for their turn to play.
12th STOP: BARNEY'S YARD
This is the little rabbit's second favourite place. He had fun exploring the yard with his big sister. Watching them playing happily from a distance makes me grateful for having them years apart. The big rabbit is very capable of taking good care of his baby brother. Look how she's trying to protect his baby brother's head on the lower right photo. Thank God for big sisters!
LAST STOP: BARNEY'S PLAYHOUSE
Barney's Playhouse is equipped with bean bags for kids and parents to rest. There is also a TV monitor inside the playhouse but the kids opted to stay longer at Barney's yard.
It was time to call it a day but the kids are just unstoppable. They are having a great time playing at the Barney's yard.
There was a special appearance of Bob the Builder, Barney, Pingu and Angelina Ballerina at The Little Big Club Stage before closing time. There's supposed to be a meet and greet session but we couldn't wait for it.
Thank you, The Little Big Club! The kids had a whale of a time with all the rides and designated play stations. Till next time!
FYI: You can also find novelty items of all the featured characters at the Merchandise Store located at the ground level where all the Hello Kitty and other Sanrio products are found.
Happy exploring!
