Dress to Impress
Numerous studies have been done that provide evidence indicating that the way you dress affects how you feel and influences the opinion others form of you. In the business and professional world, you can expand on that idea so that it includes the accessories you carry with you throughout the workday and on business trips. If you are wearing expensive clothing and designer shoes, but arrive for work or a meeting carrying a battered briefcase or worn out document pouch, your credibility might be questioned. Investing in a leather attache case can make you appear affluent, confident and capable.
Once you attain professional status, people take notice of some of the small details that you might not have considered important. For example, those sitting around you during a business meeting may notice things such as your briefcase, your notebook cover and even your eyeglass case. Your level of confidence can run high when you have the assurance that they are quietly or verbally admiring your sense of style and professionalism.
If your job involves travel, it's essential that you exude confidence and maintain a professional appearance when you travel. Your luggage and all other travel accessories should be as impressive as your briefcase. Accessories such as gloves, scarves and an umbrella are items you may need when on a business trip. Finding a place such as Ghurka enables you to find the high quality business, travel and personal accessories you need to feel confident and look successful.

Really, in a corporate world, one has to dress according to the norms of the company when on duty. While, doing so, still your fashion sense, manner, attitude, tastes and other etiquette should be learned too. The answer truly is blending...blend to your environment or events.
ReplyDeletepsssstttt love the lay-out of this post..I wonder how I would look posing that way hahaha...this gave me another post idea :) and yes indeed, the way we dress says a lot about us and professionally what we wear could make or break our career! :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. bukas na ako maglalaba hahahaha...
One quote I will never forget about dressing up is always dress nicely wherever you go. It will not only make you feel good but also prepared for whatever changes that may come :)
ReplyDeleteit's really important to dress according to the norms of the company, so during job interviewing, it pays a lot to research about the company first, but if no research had been done coz of time constraints, dressing professionally always won't hurt
ReplyDeleteso true, i truly agree with your post, we should dress the way our age is as well.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! You have to dress up nicely as it can make a good impression to other people. I tend to do it wherever I go and of course, one thing I like is to make a cheap shirt look expensive. :)
ReplyDeleteGenerally, we should dress for success. First impression is lasting, so they say.
ReplyDeleteI like that outfit for a "dress-to-impress" moment like that of a job interview! :D
ReplyDeleteWell said. It is also good to be conscious of the fitting of the outfit to be sure it is not too loose or too tight, otherwise one would look silly instead of being smart looking.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a shapely figure and I tend to hide my flaws specially my "Tummy Lee Jones" or "Tiyanda Romero." My sons tease me that I am a BMW (Bilbil Mo Walo). The heck. Since my job is not customer facing and the company I work for is not very strict in enforcing the dress code, I usually go to work in jeans and a collared shirt. I am not much of a flashy dresser. I wear what I am comfortable with..Confidence comes first, the look will follow. :)
ReplyDeleteAlthough it may not be the case sometimes but dressing up appropriately says something about one's personality. You are right, we really need to dress up and have the proper accessories especially if we want to impress clients or customers or even encourage our co-workers to treat us with respect.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while Sis. I'm so happy to be back here. Hugs!
First impression counts anywhere we go. From dressing up, wearing makeup, and carrying our self-confidence. ^_^
ReplyDeleteWe dress to impress most of the time but we should dress to please ourselves and to please God.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Every time I want to feel like a million bucks, I wear formal clothes! Works every time!
ReplyDeleteI like that get up. Makes me miss my office days.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of get-up I love seeing in a workplace.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know attache cases were still in. :(
