Family Staycation at Shangri-la's Rasa Sentosa Resort (Day 2)

In case you missed day 1, click here for part 1 and here for part 2

We woke up to this stunning sunrise view on our second day. God is truly magnificent. He blessed our staycation with a very lovely weather perfect for an ideal family holiday.

After taking in all the beauty of the breathtaking scenery from our hotel room balcony, we headed straight at Silver Shell Cafe for the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet spread isn't as epic as the buffet dinner but I we enjoyed it nonetheless.

After breakfast, we took advantage of the free use of selected water sports at the Sea Sports Centre. Since there are four of us, we first chose the pedal boat.

The four of us initially set off to the waters but the hubby had a hard time pedalling and the little rabbit isn't really enjoying the boat ride so we went back to the shore to leave them there.

So there we are, just the big rabbit and me on the pedal boat. Only then I realized it really takes so much effort to pedal and maneuver the boat to which direction you wish to go.

The little rabbit had a blast playing with the sand and water. If you see two dark or white spots from the subsequent photos, it is actually the wet sand that got into the camera lens. I only noticed it much later.

Since they didn't get to ride with us, we took this photo for as their souvenir. Hehehe.

Big rabbit and I spent only about half an hour in the pedal boat so we went back to the Sea Sports Centre to see what other water sports we could try.

We both agreed to try the kayaking. Is it too obvious how excited we are in this photo? LOL.

We had so much fun trying these water sports for the first time. Good thing I have a sporty child with me otherwise I won't be able to manage all by myself. LOL.

Last photo opp before we left the beach.

And one last round of play for my little beach lover.

We spent the rest of the morning in the pool.

Look who is sooooooo happy!!!

We skipped the flying trapeze to let the kids enjoy their pool time longer. That priceless smile says it all. Ahhhhh, we are going to miss Rasa Sentosa Resort so much!

Nevertheless, we are grateful for the beautiful family memories made during our entire staycation.

Until next time!!!
