A Billingual Toddler

My 2 and a half year old boy is slowly picking up Tagalog words from the household.

Everytime we are about to leave the house...

Little rabbit: Let's go. Tayo na!

When he sees something drenched in water...

Little rabbit: Oh no, it's wet! Basa!

When asked to go to sleep or take a nap...

Little rabbit: Ayaw! I don't want!

He is becoming very redundant. We are trying to speak strictly in English nowadays so that he won't get confused. We will concentrate first on teaching him English language and hopefully he will pick up more Tagalog words when he's old enough to know the difference.
