The beauty and durability of hardwood
flooring is what helps make this flooring option one of the most sought after
amenities for the home. However, laminate flooring is quickly becoming another
viable and popular flooring choice for its hardwood appearance, but extremely
lower price tag. If you’re stuck between deciding on hardwood flooring or
laminate flooring, consider the following pros of each.
· Laminate Flooring:
o
Resistant to moisture
o
Affordable
o
Easy to install
o
Easy to clean
o
Resistant to fading and
scratches
o
Looks like hardwood
o
Long life expectancy with care
·
Hardwood Flooring:
o
Increased the property value of
your home
o
Harder to install than laminate
flooring, but much more permanent and structurally strong
o
Classic and timeless appeal
o
Easy to clean
o
More extensive installation
o
Lasts a lifetime
o
Gets better with age
o
Imperfections can simply be
sanded or refinished
Both flooring options can add a lot of
beauty to any room in your home. When it comes down to deciding between the
two, it’s a matter of how much of an investment you’re willing to make.
Hardwood flooring is a sensible investment that has a big return. Laminate
flooring is affordable, and can be replaced easily if something goes awry. The
best solution to determine which is best for you is to visit and speak with
your local flooring professional.
I would prefer the hardwood flooring, for me it looks neat and easy to clean and mop. :)
ReplyDeletebetween the two i prefer the hard wood flooring as it looks more beautiful and gets better with age especially if the wood is a first class material :)
ReplyDeletethere are quite big difference between the two certainly you can save more in the laminating flooring but the hardwood would give you a lifetime service...so which one is really the best?
ReplyDeletei am not sure what type of floor we would consider next, both have their pros and cons, laminate though look as elegant and classy as hardwood, you could hardly tell, without worrying about water damage.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a choice, I would go for hardwood flooring although what we have now is laminate flooring.
ReplyDeleteTo me, hardwood hands down. We have it except in bathrooms and kitchen and it's awesome.
ReplyDeleteback here Che, I am not too sure if my comment went through since I did not get a notification that it will be published after author's approval, haha. anyway, both have their pros and cons, there are laminate flooring that looks like really wood yet you do not have to worry about the wet floor where the wood is sensitive to wet spills.
ReplyDeleteWe put laminate flooring at our basement but our main house has a wood flooring with carpet.
ReplyDeleteBoth have advantages but for easy fix, laminate flooring is the one to consider.
All of our bedrooms here in the condo is the one like in your photo above i think, i am not sure hehe but then reading the informations below I have some inputs now and learn their uniqueness ~ www.tauyanm.com
ReplyDeletei think wooden flooring would be cool coz as time pass by it looks rustic.
ReplyDeleteHardwood floor is better and it lasts a lifetime. It adds value to the home too but better have it treated because termites don't care whether it's hardwood or not.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the laminated floors because they can be treated with waterproof coating and can easily be cleaned. Although hardwood floors give more value to your home. I'm more after practicality over substance.
ReplyDeleteNeither of the two Sis :-) We only have carpet and tiles :-) These are great tips on how to keep the wooden floor shine and clean :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful hardwoord flooring! I've always wanted to have one. I rarely see such flooring here in the Philippines.
