Fashion Friday: 3 Models I Admire

Confession: I don't look good all the time. Just like other mommies out there, you can always catch me wearing devil-may-care clothes with no make up while running errands or window shopping around the city. Having said that, if you check out my instagram account, you will uncover that I follow a number of fashion icons. Although I am not a true blue fashionista, I do love dressing up and looking good (if not great).

Here are 3 of the many fashion icons who inspire the way I dress when the occasions calls for it.

1. Adriana Lima
This Brazilian model and actress is an epitome of model with substance. What I love most about her apart from the way she dress up and carry herself with so much confidence is her passion in helping an orphanage. Our common denominator? Soft spot for children. She once donated her prize money from the Turkish version of Deal or No Deal to a hospital in Istanbul for children fighting leukemia.

2. Candice Swanepoel
This South African model is well known for her stint with Victoria's Secret. She was discovered by a talent scout in a flee market when she was only 15 years old. By the age of 16, she was fortunate to score many modelling jobs across Europe. In 2012, she made it to the top 10 in Forbes top-earning models list. Our common denominator? Her love for beach, nature and family.

3. Alessandra Ambrosio
Alessandra is another Brazilian Model with substance. She serves as an ambassador of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She took a modelling class at the age of 12, started modelling at the age of 15 and she became popular when she appeared on the cover of Brazilian Elle magazine. Elle submitted her polaroid photos to Guess and as they say, the rest is history. Our common denominator? Guess?! :D

How about you? Who are the models you look up to?
