A family home is much more than just a 3 bedroom house. You need to make sure that this house is going to be suitable for your family for as long as possible - you don’t want to have to deal with moving as your family continues to grow. A Great School
No matter what age your kids are, you need to make sure that there’s a great school close by for them. Even if you don’t have kids yet, it’s helpful to be close to a few great schools. Do your research and even go and visit them if you wish. This is where your children will spend most of their time as they grow up, so you need to make sure they’ll be taken care of.
Suitable Shops
You don’t want to be too far away to shops. If you’re close to a town, that’s even better as you have everything you could need on your doorstep. You always have the option of ordering your weekly shop online, but there will be times when you need to pop out for a carton of milk or something. Make sure there are suitable shops in close proximity.
A Gym
Staying fit as a family is essential, so having a gym close by can only be a good thing. This means you can concentrate on your health and make friends while the kids are at school. You can even take your kids swimming and to classes from an early age to get them excited about sport and fitness!
Public Transport
Although you probably don’t want a bus stop right outside your house, you don’t want to be too far away from areas of public transport. You never know when your car might break down on you, so being close to a bus station or taxi rank will help.
Parking
If your home doesn’t have great parking, you might run into some troubles later on. Regardless of whether you drive or not, you must consider that it’s likely your kids will want to drive when they reach that age. Where will their cars go? If you do drive, where will all of your cars go? Will there be room for all of them? Parking is a great amenity to have.
Plenty of Space
Although babies don’t take up that much space, they grow quickly. In fact, you’ll be shocked at just how much space they take up in a short space of time. The more space you have, the better. Family homes are always filled with junk and things you never want to throw away, so make sure you have space for it.
A Big Garden
A big garden similar to those that the display homes in Baldivis have are a lovely luxury for the kids. While smaller gardens can be acceptable if you have many of the other things on the list, the bigger the garden, the better. This will let you fill it with paddling pools, slides, climbing frames, trampolines, and other great things.

great schools in a great school district, excellent health care, proximity to supermarkets and close enough to nature get-away are our major consideration when we chose a house, not the size of the house, though we have to pay more for a small house and we could have cheaper for much bigger house and yard, but we could not sacrifice quality of living over size that would lock us up with nothing much to do nearby. though we ended up with no kids to send to great schools, but, at peace to know we won't have problems selling the house if we need to move somewhere because areas in good schools sell very much easily and don't lose value.
