Highlights of the Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2015

Media Invite

So thrilled to be able to participate at the Nickelodeon Slime Cup for the first time. Look at G's face, he can't wait to play the games!

Here are the highlights of our first Slime Cup experience:

1) The Official Opening Ceremony

As part of the media, we were privileged to watch the official opening ceremony up close led by Ms Jennifer Ng and Ms Syahrizan Mansor. G was so happy to see his favourite Nickelodeon characters Dora and Diego "in person" along with Sponge Bob and Patrick and the Ninja Turtles, Ralph and Michael Angelo. 

2) Photo Opp with Diego and Dora

The main reason why I RSVP'd for this media invite is because G is an avid fan of Diego and Dora. This was taken right after the opening ceremony which explains why you see Dora's iconic purple backpack instead of her face (they are about to leave). I signed up for the meet and greet with these duo but since it was scheduled at 6:30pm, I had to retract last minute. 

3) Media Tour

After the opening ceremony, we were escorted to a media tour. It was great to see familiar faces from the media group. 

4) Meet and Greet Session

So we gave Diego and Dora meet and greet session a miss but managed to go for Sponge Bob and Patrick. Thankful for the priority queue, we did not wait for too long to have this photo opp.

4) Oggy's Shootout

The hubby had fun shooting with G. We have the similar gun at home and it is actually one of G's most favourite toy to play with his dad. 

5) Fairly OddTargets

It was my turn to guide G shooting at the Fairly Odd Targets. Did we hit the bull's eye? Not a chance! Haha!

6) Coloring Fun

G and all the children got a chance to try out Pilot's new erasable colour pencils. Pilot is one of the Nickelodeon's Slime Cup 2015 sponsor.

7) Tattoo Fun

G and I had tattoo on our hands. It is so much fun to be a kid for a day. :)

8) Epic String Maze

"This is so much fun, dad!", the boy exclaimed! He couldn't get enough of the Ninja Turtle mask and continued to use it at home. The epic string maze activity is part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dojo Experience. 

9) Photo Opp with the Vitagen mascot

So glad G has outgrown his fear of mascots. Vitagen is also one of the Nickelodeon Smile Cup 2015 sponsor. 

10) Printable Instagram photos

Can you spot G and his dad from the screen above? All IG posts tagged with #slimecupSG were printed by instaprint.sg.

If only G wasn't a clean freak, he would have enjoyed this slimy fun!

• Face painting

We gave this a miss too as G wasn't very keen to give it a try.

• Soccer Showdown

G got intimidated by the big boys. Haha! Photo by Nickelodeon & Don Chan. Singtel is also one of the major sponsors for the Slime Cup 2015.

We also missed the Megabounce Trampoline (we queued for it but it started to rain just before G's turn), Teenage Mutant Ninja Master Booth and the Ninja Zipline at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dojo Experience. 

Nevertheless, Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2015 was a fun experience for G! I commend Nickelodeon for always looking for new ways to encourage play through sports, and to give kids and their families the opportunity to get outdoors and bond over silly, slimy fun - in true Nickelodeon style!
