Singapore Stories Floral Display at Flower Dome

I know it sounds embarrassing but like some locals and residents of Singapore, I only started getting very curious and interested in stories about Singapore's earlier days when its founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew passed away. Imagine my delight when my family was invited to discover From Tales to Legends: Singapore Stories at Gardens by the Bay's Flower Dome.

The floral display features 10 local folklore that are brought to life by the creative display of more than 8000 orchids plants in bloom and more colourful flowers. We were greeted by the Sang Nila Utama local 3D stamp. It is appropriately situated right when you enter the premises of the Flower Dome as it tells the story of how the "Lion City" was discovered and named as such.

Come and visit Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay and discover for yourself the stories behind:

SANG NILA UTAMA

REDHILL

KUSU ISLAND

PULAU UBIN

TANJONG PAGAR

RADIN MAS

MERLION

along with Bukit Timah, the Sister's Island and the Singapore Stone. Designed by the award-winning Singaporean landscape architect, Damian Tang - the SG50 commemorative floral display is something you shouldn't miss this Golden Jubilee long weekend. Not free this weekend? Fret not! The display will end on the 13th of September 2015 so you have ample time to plan your visit.
