I don’t know about you, but in my relationship, it always seems to be my husband spoiling me. He treats me to flowers, buy me my favourite chocolates, books surprise weekend away, and more - this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Don’t get me wrong here, I love the little treats he gets me and the surprises he plans. But I also want to be able to treat him for a change, to show him how much I care.
For men, it’s easy to find cute little gifts for us, as we are easy to buy for. Perfume, our favourite sweet treats, or a voucher, are all simple gift ideas that any woman is guaranteed to love.
When it’s the other way around, it can be a real struggle to find a treat for your man, that you know he’ll love. Men are so fussy when it comes to gifts, but don’t let that put you off.
He might be a nightmare to buy for, but I have come up with some ideas that almost any man will love. So there is no need to panic about finding the perfect treat for him because I've got you covered.
Tickets to a sports game and a weekend away with his friends
My husband works hard, both at home and at his place of work. He is a hands-on dad and is always willing to help out with our son. Just like us mums get the odd break now and then, if your partner works hard, he deserves a break, too.
Get in touch with his best buddy and tell him your plan to surprise your husband with tickets to a sports game and a weekend away. Ensure that his friends are free that weekend, buy tickets, and book the hotel, and you’ve got a gift that he will go crazy for.
A gift he’ll appreciate
If your budget won’t stretch as far as a weekend away, then buying him a gift instead is also a good option. It can be hard to find that perfect present for him, but you can make it easier for yourself by looking at the types of things he likes.
If he has a sweet tooth, a box of his favourite sweets is a simple, but cute gift. Perhaps you could go down the retro route and order him a retro sweet hamper instead? These make great presents, as they’ll take him right back to his childhood.
If he’s a man of style, buying him, a new watch or wallet could be a good option. Men have a habit of not replacing their things as they get worn and old. So if his wallet is old or watch is chipped, a new one would be a fantastic treat.
Top tip: If you decide on a watch, make sure to choose a suitable design. If he’s into his sports, it’s best to opt for a sports-friendly style, like one of the Casio watches. Otherwise, he could end up breaking or damaging it while exercising.
Take him out for dinner
He might normally be the one who treats you to dinner, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t turn the tables. Is there a restaurant that he loves or somewhere that he has always wanted to eat at? Yes - then why not treat him to a delicious meal? It might not seem like a big treat, but when you spend very little alone time together, thanks to your little one, it’s the perfect option.
There are lots of ways that you could treat your husband, but these are a few of my favourites. They’re simple, fun and cute little things that any man will appreciate.
