Nirwana Resort Hotel is one of the 5 resort hotels/villas located within the compound of the vast Nirwana Gardens in Bintan Island locally known as Pulau Bintan in Indonesia.
My first visit in the island was in 2007 where my colleagues and I stayed at the posh Angsana Bintan Resort for team-building and product training followed by a family visit at Bintan Lagoon in 2010. In summary, it was my 3rd time visiting the island, hubby and K's 2nd time and G's first time.
We are fortunate to be living quite close to Bintan Resorts, just 55-minute away via fast speed ferry to be exact from Singapoore's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, followed by a short land transfer from Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal to the resort.
Just how I fell in love with Angsana Resort (which is located right next to Nirwana Gardens - I found out the day we exited the premises) and how my family tremendously enjoyed our stay in Bintan Lagoon, Nirwana Resort Hotel did not fall short of anything except for the outdated room we were given.
If I were to choose among the 3 Bintan Resorts I have visited, Nirwana will be my top pick.
Here are the list of things we loved about the resort:
1. The Huge Pool Area
It features a wide infinity pool, children's pool, jacuzzi and a pool exclusive for playing water polo. If you've been following all our family vacations and staycations, you'd know by now that swimming pool is one of the things we first check when booking a hotel.2. The Beach Front
The beach front of the resort hotel boasts white powdery sand, turquoise water, stunning vista, fresh sea breeze with shaded spots to boot. I could stay there forever. Sitting on that sun lounger, holding hands with the hubby while watching the kids having fun playing with the waves made me feel grateful to be alive. It served as a charger to my flat battery life, staying there doing nothing made me feel rejuvenated.
3. The Resort Centre and Happy Valley Club House
4. The Mini Zoo
One of the kids' favourite at the resort! You won't be surprised to hear we went here twice to check out the rabbits, rooster, hen, crocodiles, fishes, iguana, and other animals.
5. The Beach Club
If the resort's beach front is meant for slowing down and relaxation, the Beach Club is where all the adrenaline rush surges. Water sports offered include jet-ski, windsurfing, kayaking, banana boat, wake-boarding, water-skiing, snorkeling and more!
If you ever get tired from all the activities, you can always rest in this spot too. I dare say, it's another slice of paradise!
6. The Kelong Seafood Restaurant
Nothing beats ending the day with a fresh seafood dinner by the beach! Let me quote this from their site:
The Kelong Seafood Restaurant is the only place to go in Bintan where you can tuck into the richest and freshest seafood, while enjoying the balmy sea breeze and a panoramic view of the South China Sea. Built on stilts just above the sea, dining at The Kelong will be an unforgettable experience!7. The Kids Club
The Nirwana Adventure-based Learning Zone (NABLEZ) Kids' Club keeps your children entertained with balloon craft, body painting, sand castle building, treasure hunt, fish feeding and all things fun! They have a trampoline too and a sand playground.

Good review, Pretty Dokie The kids' activities sure made the get-away a fantastic one!
ReplyDeleteIt feels good to be back here. Sana mapadalas. Hihi!
MWaaah!
I spent my birthday over there! Love Nirwana Gardens because the staff are always so friendly. We missed our shuttle bus to the sunset restaurant and will not be able to catch the sunset. The staff is so kind to drive us there privately. :)
