Dahlia Dreams Floral Display @ Gardens by the Bay

If there is one place we visited ever so frequently last year, it was Gardens by the Bay. I think my family will never get tired of visiting it over and over again. The kids love the Children's Playground (cue: Let it go, let it gooooo) where we let them go bonkers about the huge water playground and the dry albeit sandy playground complete with adventure trail, rainforest treehouse and toddler play zone amidst lush greenery.

No visit to Gardens by the Bay is complete without G getting a good splashing time at the water play area and hanging around the treehouse. 

But first, adults! Haha! Where do adults go? The cooled conservatories of course!

Last Sunday, we finally spent an afternoon checking out the Dahlia Dreams floral display at the Flower Dome. 

"Dahlia Dreams" brings to mind the mythical "Flowers and Fruit Mountain" (where the legendary Monkey King was said to be born, as well as "Water Curtain Cave" that was described in the novel. Look out for monkey-shaped topiaries as you stroll through a cavern with unexpected surprises in this first floral display of 2016 that is infused with elements of Chinese arts and culture.
